Membership card 1. The first year of issue for TNL Membership Cards was 2006.
Note - this is the ONLY year that the “Supreme Chief of the Fire” John Andrews, the Council Executive, “signed” the cards (a computer generated signature). In the upper right corner of the card the Gtw is the abbreviation for my home District / Chapter and T999 signifies Scouter Council level registration. The statement, shown on the back has been on OA membership cards since at least 1990, perhaps earlier but not as early as 1979. The previous card design remained in print by National until 2010; the below design was first printed by
National in 2010, so they co-existed for at least that year. It appears that the Lodge or National had to work down previous inventories of the above card design prior to using the card below, since the card below was first issued by the Lodge for the 2012-2013 membership year.
