Auction Donation Flap
New standard flaps needed to be ordered, but there was not enough time for the LEC to vote deciding on changes to the design. Apparently some LEC members wanted to clean up the night sky and make the arrow look slightly different. It was decided to reorder the standard flaps as well as 3 other flaps. This one is the Auction Donation flap. 100 were ordered and 102 received from the manufacturer. Since there were 2 extra of each flap they were sold in a lodge fundraiser auction at the 2025 Nayawin Rar Trade-O-Ree in November. This flap is intended to encourage donations to the lodge 296 benefit auctions. Over the years the lodge has done numerous auctions to raise funds for the lodge building, NOAC, and other needs. A flap will be given as a thank you for each $100, rounded down, realized in the auction from a donors donations.
The design for the new standard flap is based on the origin story behind the lodge totem. The flap depicts a nighthawk over the OA Lake at Camp Tuscarora.
