Blue Book 6 lists an A and B variety with a brown or white eye. The only "official" color is white. The eye on the beaver is actually just a lack of stitching and the eye is actually whatever stitching/twill is beneath the gap. If the machine does not line up perfectly or the base material gets shifted even just a tiny bit, you can end up with a different color of "eye" on this patch. I have personally seen this patch with blue, white, and brown in the eye spot. This should be a MVE and not a separate issue.
