Description
In 1956, Area 2-J was organized on a experimental basis. In November, 1957 the five NYC lodges as well as Chappegat 15, Hanigus 47, Shinnecock 360, Buckskin 412 met at Camp Ranachqua, TMR. This appeared to be a one-time event or planning meeting, as the area wasn't formed until two years later.

Section History

In 1959, Area 2-J was officially formed by the five NYC lodges. As the first official conference wasn't until 1960, they continued to attend 2-A events.
Shinnecock 360 & Buckskin 412 were moved from Area 2-A to Area 2-J in 1965.
Yokahú 506 and Arawak 562 were moved from Area 2-E to Area 2-J in 1968.
